Business Development Director
Identify and develop new business strategies for long term sustainable revenue generation; gather data on competitors, prices and sales; provide key market inputs to management regarding potential products/markets for veterinary prescription and veterinary OTC pharmaceuticals; interact with CMO/CRO (Contract Manufacturing Organization/Contract Research Organization) to plan projects from execution to completion; identify new manufacturers to partner and enter into long term contracts for new veterinary pharmaceutical products; calculate API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) cost and finished product cost; negotiate purchase agreements with manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers of veterinary pharmaceutical products; participate in GADA Generic Animal Drug Alliance) meetings periodically and interact with CVM (Center for Veterinary Medicine)/FDA for current industry practices; and prepare and submit proposals to gain new business.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, management or business administration plus five years’ experience as a business development director, marketing manager, market research analyst or a related position or a master’s degree in marketing, management or business administration plus three years’ experience as a business development director, marketing manager, market research analyst or a related position.
Also, requires at least two years’ experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
25% travel required mainly to EU, India, China and within US
